Mother Nature is throwing us a Curve Ball, thank heavens is is hittable!!! (Sorry for the baseball reference)
We are getting a glancing blow from the storm and it is going to alter the way we set up the tournament.
1. Registration @ Dick's is going to start at 6:00 pm. Please make sure to get the word out to your managers or whomever is making the trip.
2. We are not altering the game schedule.
3. We are going to have to do some physical setup on Saturday morning. The sites will be scrambling to get ready during the first games. The tents will be going up on Saturday morning, rather than setting them up overnight and losing them to the wind.
4. We are asking the town to get the final mowing and lines done in the next 2 days, the rain may affect how visible they are, but cross your fingers. The mowing and lines are usually done on Friday.
5. We will make every attempt to make this seemless, Please bear with us.

August 29, 2010: The tournament schedule is posted on the website, There are a few different ways to view your schedule online. The easiest is to click on the League/Team Pages tab at the top of the home page. You will see three drop down menus just under the top line. Click on the Season box and click on the 2010 Kevin Barmak Labor Day Tournament. Then click on the League block, and click on the division you are playing in. Finally, click on the Team block and click on your team. This is your team's page. We will post breaking news to this page, and your schedule will appear on the lower right side of the page. You can print or download your schedule by clicking on the Schedule tab on the right side of the page.
There is also a multischedule for your parents with multiple players participating in the tournament. Simple put your cursor over the League/Team Pages tab, and choose Multischedule at the bottom of the drop down menu. The next page will ask for the season, click on the 2010 Kevin Barmak Labor Day Tournament, the schedule type, you can choose multiple views including a date file to download to your smart phone, and the teams. Put an x next to the appropriate teams and click submit.
U13 and U14 teams will be playing some games on the Fermi High School turf field. Please check your team pages for specific field rules for that particular facility.

The Enfield Soccer Club is pleased to invite your team to apply to the Kevin Barmak Labor Day Soccer Tournament on September 4th & 5th, 2010, in Enfield Connecticut. Please feel free to copy and distribute this letter and application to other clubs or teams in your area. www.Kbtournament.com
FORMAT: Each age group shall consist of two, five (5) teams division, unless otherwise directed by the Tournament Committee. Each team will play a minimum of four (4) games. Competition will begin at 7:45 am Saturday, September 4th, and will conclude on Sunday, September 5th.
Age Groups: Teams based on USSF/USYSA age groups, for Boys and Girls:
U-14 Born on or after August 1, 1996
U-13 Born on or after August 1, 1997
U-12 Born on or after August 1, 1998
U-11 (8v8 only) Born on or after August 1, 1999
U-10 (8v8 only) Born on or after August 1, 2000
U-9 (8v8 only) Born on or after August 1, 2001
ELIGIBILITY: The Enfield Soccer Club invites Intra-Club tournament teams and Classic teams only (no premier teams), to participate in this tournament. This Tournament is sanctioned by the USYSA through the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). All the teams must be affiliated with the USYSA or the appropriate National Association and must be in good standing. Properly registered teams with up to two (2) guest players will be permitted to play.
REGISTRATION: Registration for all teams will be at Dick's Sporting Goods on Freshwater Blvd from 6:PM to 8:30 PM on Friday, September 3rd, 2010. Teams will be required to furnish an official certified roster, player and coach passes for U11 and up, and Tournament medical release form at time of registration.
APPLICATION: The Tournament application, a USYSA roster of all players, and the entry fee of $400.00 (US) for U-9, U-10 and U-11, 8 vs 8 teams and $450.00 (US) for U-12 through U-14, 11 vs 11 age groups. Checks are made payable to the Enfield Soccer Club, and must be submitted by Sunday, August 8th, 2010.
CLOSED, ADDITIONAL TEAMS ADDED BY INVITATIION TO FILL BRACKETS.
The following Criteria will be taken into consideration by the Tournament Committee for acceptance to the Tournament:
a) Level of competition and team record
b) Geographic balance
c) Early application
Every attempt will be made to issue acceptance to the tournament by August 22, 2010. Application fees will be refunded immediately for teams not accepted. Teams withdrawing from the tournament after acceptance will forfeit application fee.
